Crop Condition Goes Down on September 1.
Corn dropped 3% from the good to excellent category in the past week. 61% of the nation's corn is in the good to excellent category. One year ago it was 59%. Soybeans dropped 4% to 57% good to excellent. One year ago it was 56%.

Aug 25 Crop Progress Report Shows Corn 64% Good to Excellent.
The 64% number for corn is up 1% from last week and is 5% above a year ago. Again the thing this report does not measure is moisture in the soil and the lateness of the crop.

Pro Farmer Releases Crop Estimates
Pro Farmer estimates a corn yield of 153.3-bushels per acre for a 12.152-billion bushel harvest. For soybeans - the yield estimate is 39.95-bushels per acre with production estimated at 2.930-billion bushels.
