Corn and Beans Look Good in Aug 11 Report.

Corn improved 1% over last week - now at 67% good to excellent. Soybeans are rated 63% good to excellent.

One year ago at this time, the corn was rated 56% good to excellent and 18% poor to very poor. We have 10% poor to very poor this year right now.

Soybeans one year ago were also 56% good to excellent and 16% poor to very poor. This year in the poor to very poor category it is 11%.

Corn in the dough stage across the U.S. is only 30%. The 5-year average is 50%. A year ago were at 59%.

Soybeans setting pods also behind the 5-year average - 60% vs 75%.
