Emery here. My thanks to A1 Mist Sprayers for sponsoring our broadcasts from the crop tour this year. Check out A1 Mist Sprayers website,  MistSprayers.com

Below are some of the pictures taken during the tour.

This was day one as we scouted fields from Sioux Falls to Grand Island. From left to right, Brian Grete, Senior Market Analyst with Pro Farmer; Gary Wietgrefe, Syngenta Agronomist; and Ron Day, writer with Bloomberg News.

This is the second day of the tour as we went from Grand Island to Nebraska City. From left to right, Russ Day, a hedge fund manager with Glencore Ltd.; Rob Davis from Moville, Iowa; and Neil Hadley from Union, Iowa.

Here's Emery with his 3 foot asparagus spear. Our tape measure broke so Chuck Staub saw this aspargus spear growing next to the soybeans, so we measured a 3 foot piece and that was our tool for getting the plant count in soybeans for the rest of the day. This picture was taken in western Iowa.

Day four saw us go through southern Minnesota. On the left is Chuck Staub, farmer from my hometown of West Concord, MN and on the right is Dennis Rollenhagen, farmer from Wells, MN.

This picture was also taken on day four in southern Minnesota. On the left is Byron Wegner from Radcliffe, Iowa and on the right is this reporter, Emery Kleven with the Price Discovery Report

Here's the backside of a soybean leaf found in northwest Iowa. The late planted field had been sprayed once for soybean aphids but they came back thicker than ever. This was somewhat common around the midwest. Soybean aphid pressure was very high this year. The picture is a bit fuzzy but the white circle in the upper right is a cluster of eggs from the aphids. We also found aphid pressure in some corn fields.
